A classicJune 6, 2003 Saunders died in 1964; her memory is honoured each year at the Poodle Club of America's National Specialty when a trophy in her name is awarded to the highest-scoring Poodle in the Open B class.
Ms Saunders opened all new world of training and made it available to everyone interested. This book tells that story. A dog lover's classic.

In the last ten years, many new trainers have rewritten the history of dog obedience and its beginnings. The book sets it straight. It reminds and teaches professional trainers how obeidience training for dogs was started in this country and there are two women to thank. Catherine Riley and Blanche Saunders, the author. If you are an aspiring trainer or are just cuirous about the history of this fine profession then you owe it to yourself and dogs everywhere to purchase this book.
