This style muzzle uses a quick-closing velcro strap on the neck. The eyes are covered. To apply: Working from behind animals head, hold side tabs and slip muzzle over face and eyes. Close tabs so they are snug but not uncomfortably tight. To release pull tabs apart. For dogs 12-30 lbs

I WAS DELIGHTED TO FIND THIS ITEM. IT IS SO PLEASANT FOR A SMALL DOG TO
WEAR DURING PROBLEMS THAT MAY OCCUR DURING GROOMING OR TREATING AREAS ON
THE BODY REQUIRING SOME KIND OF MEDICATION. I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND FOR THE SHIH-TZU IN THAT WEIGHT RANGE DUE TO THEIR SHORT MUZZLE.
