I have one fountain and 4 cats that use it. It does a good job of keeping the water fresh and clean, especially since one likes to use it to wash his feet.

Without this, the water is just water. It helps to filter the water so my cat drinks more. I've tried to go without the carbon filter, but she doesn't seem to drink as much when/if I do.

These filters are great in the fountain they are designed for. My cats love the water fountain. My only complaint is you have to keep an eye on sludge that might build up from dry cat food. Somehow my cats manage to drop food in the water sometimes.

The description for the item plainly states it is 3 packs of 3 filters (total of 9). This is incorrect. Each box is 3 filters, it is not a box containing 3 packs of 3.

Love the fountain and need the filters. Both products are great! My cats love the fresh water and it keeps them healthier. I would have given the product 5 stars, if the cost was a bit lower.
