Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
When your dog is too distracted to obey a command or displays bad behavior, you use the handheld remote control dog training device to trigger the spray collar. A harmless spray is released; it interrupts the dog's inappropriate actions and makes him receptive to your command. It offers a surprise stimulus that targets your dog's heightened senses: He hears it, feels it, sees it and smells it. He begins to associate his inappropriate behaviors with receiving a spray. Through repetition, association and conditioning, the unacceptable behavior is soon eliminated. The Kit includes: Handheld remote control Patented spray device Adjustable collar Two 6 volt battery Complete training CD & manual 1 Scentless spray refill

4 out of 5 stars Really Works   October 21, 2008

The Spray Commander allows me to walk my dog off leash. If she doesn't come on command, a quick spray gets her attention. I don't like shock collars; the Spray Commander is just a gentle reminder that she is supposed to be paying attention to me. I also like that the remote has a sound to pair with a positive reinforcer - treat or praise - so I can let her know when she has done something right!

3 out of 5 stars Multiple purchases   October 18, 2008

I have purchased 3 of these in the past 2 years. It works well as a training tool. The problem is the failure rate far exceeds its worth. All 3 have failed in the past 2 years. The pressure boundary on the sprayer fails, and therefore all of the contents leaks out and will no longer hold the charge. For the time frame that it works, it was fine...but the repetitive expense has become prohibitive.

5 out of 5 stars Best training tool yet!   August 3, 2007

I purchased the Multivet Spray Commander to assist with training my year old beagle to not run away. His hunting instinct has all of a sudden taken over, where I it has never been a problem before. I use the spray commander at an off leash park where he continuously runs into the wooded areas to hunt out hiding rabbits. The spray not only stops him from entering the woods but also interrupts his scent tracking (when he does get in due to my lack of attention) long enough for him to respond to me. This is a wonderful humane training tool. I was adverse to using an electrical stimulation collar and am very glad to have come across this painfree alternative. (I have also recently used it to curb his sometimes unnecessary barking- which is typical of beagles-and it has proven to be just has effective)

4 out of 5 stars Excellent way to train your dog   June 18, 2007

I have a 7 month old beagle that loves to chew and not come when called. Does the remote collar ever work great!! He's had it on for three days and now when we say no to him he knows we mean business. No-He's not perfect but this is the best training system I've purchased. I've bought more books than I care to say with an investment way over the price of this collar. I just wish I would have had it for house training. It's also keeping him from running in the road and the ally in our back yard. Cooper stops right in his tracks. We also had problems with him jumping on my young grandchildren and knocking them down. It didn't happen yesterday when they were here. Awesome product! I gave it 4 stars as it's not waterproof so if it's raining he will be on his leash.

With this collar my puppy was trained in a matter of about 5-6 sprays. She would always dig outside and as soon as she started to dig I said no and when she didn't listen I sprayed her and she stopped immediately. This worked for other problems as well. I highly recommed this product.
