| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling while walking on a leash.Unlike traditional collars, our harness never causes coughing, gagging, or choking because the chest strap rests low across the breastbone. Its unique front-chest leash attachment stops pulling by steering your dog to the side and redirecting his attention towards you. And, its patent-pending martingale loop provides extra leverage for easy, relaxed control and prevents harness twisting and gapping.Features:Quick snap buckle on both the shoulder and belly strap make it easier to get the harness on and off.Soft but strong nylon and four adjustment points provide maximum comfort and a reliable fit.Available in red.

Does not work as well as a Head Collar May 29, 2008 Melinda S. Boyer (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My one year old Alaskan Malamute constantly pulled on his leash - so badly that I did not want to take him for walks in the winter for fear that he would pull me into a nasty fall if I got on some ice. I tried some training methods first - stopping & making him sit when he pulled, changing the direction we were walking whenever he pulled, using a short lead etc. But nothing changed until I bought a gentle leader head collar. This instantly cured his bad habits. It took him a little while to get used to, but in no time, he was walking like a polite boy & not trying to pull at all. Unfortunately, a few months later, he chewed through the leash attachment piece while my husband stopped to talk to neighbors during a walk. My one tiny complaint with the head collar was that it gave him "leader nose" or wrinkled his fur where it went across the bridge of his nose. I got a Gentle Leader body harness just to see if it would work as well, without the "leader nose". It does not work anywhere near as well as the head collar. My Mal actually doesn't even enjoy his walks anymore as he spends most of his time biting at the harness piece across his chest. I'm ordering another head collar & getting rid of the cumbersome harness ASAP.
