I like the design of this lamp, I've replaced an older spotlight type UV lamp with this one and appreciate that it is smaller, uses less electricity, and produces less heat. However, I've aware that this lamp will stop producing UV at some point but I have no idea when. I may buy a UV tester, which is very expensive, so perhaps some sort of indicator could be built into these things to let us know when they are no longer producing UV.
My tortoise took right to it and loves sitting under it.
