It's visibly effective & my cat loves the taste! October 17, 2008

I had an outdoor long-haired cat growing up (about 13 years ago) and we gave her Hartz Hairball Remedy to prevent hair balls. She loved the taste and ate it like it was a treat!
Now that I'm older and living on my own I recently adopted two long-haired cats. Naturally when I looked for a hairball remedy treatment I went with what I was familiar with - Hartz. Since my cats are indoor only I can physically see that Hartz is working because occassionally I see hair mixed in with their feces clumps as I clean their litter boxes.
My younger female cat loves the taste of Hartz Hairball Remedy and will eat it like it's a forbidden candy. However, my older male cat is very picky and will ONLY eat something if he is hungry. (Go figure.) I have a difficult time getting him to take *any* kind of hairball remedy treatment. (I've even tried tablets.) I wipe a glob of hairball remedy on his front paw or leg so that he can lick it off, but he simply shakes his leg/paw & flicks off the gob of goo, lol. Then I have to wipe up the mess, wherever it may land. It's an ongoing battle with him, but Hartz itself is a reliable product and has been for years!

Our cat loves this stuff and devours it. He also hasn't coughed up a hairball in a bit, so apparently it's working.

All the animals I've fed this to have loved it -- except one cat but he will lick it off his paw. That includes rabbits and cats. What's even better is that it definitely seems to be working!
