Year: 2006

Synopsis:

Earl Hickey is an unrepentant ne’er-do-well with a long list of things he’s done wrong in life. All that changes when he wins a small lottery and, in a swift twist of fate, learns the meaning of “karma”: Do good things and good things happen. Now Earl, along with a quirky group of family, friends and a particularly troublesome ex-wife, is on a mission to right all his past wrongs and, one-by-one, cross them off his list. It makes for a comedy, like Earl himself, with a voice and style all its own.

1 out of 5 stars Beware of Amazon's season pass!   September 26, 2008

This show was good a couple years ago but it's run out of fresh ideas. Even worse is Amazon's Season Pass. I clicked on the first episode a couple days ago, thinking I could get a sneak preview (it hadn't aired yet, but was listed on Amazon as "Now Playing"). After I clicked on it, I realized that it wouldn't be downloaded until the day AFTER it aired. I couldn't find any way to cancel but the price shown on my account was $0.00 (keep in mind that you can watch previously aired shows for free at NBC's website). Only today did I see that the price was $1.89 for each of TWO episodes that aired last night and downloaded this am. Come on Amazon; how about charging when people actually access the show, and maybe revamp your interface so that others don't get stuck with shows they never intended to buy? While you're at it, how about better customer support (maybe even phone support) for digital orders? I was excited about Amazon's Video on Demand, but it looks like there's better choices out there.

4 out of 5 stars Fairly good episode...   May 30, 2007

This is a fairly good episode. At first, I was afraid it was one of those cheap "collage of clips from past show episode shows" based on the description. It isn't, it is new content and worth watching.
