Product Description Beagles are especially perceptive, intelligent little hounds. Although natural hunters, they adapt readily to home life. Titles in the extensive Complete Pet Owner's Manuals series provide pet owners with basic information on keeping healthy, contented, well-cared-for animals. The series includes approximately 175 titles and covers pets of every kind: dogs, cats, and birds of many breeds, as well as fish, reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, and just about any other animal that people keep as a pet. Facts and advice cover all aspects of pet care, which include proper feeding, housing, health care, grooming, training, and much more. The text in each manual is supplemented with many vivid, full-color photos, and with instructive, anatomically accurate line art. Each manual has been individually written by a breeder, trainer, veterinarian, or experienced animal specialist. Paperback / 96 Pages / 6 1/2 x 7 7/8 / 2003

disappointing! July 12, 2007 T. Tagle 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm currently doing research into different dog breeds, especially the beagle, as I hope for a new puppy companion in the next year. Compared to other similarly priced and marketed books, this has got to be the worst. VERY generic pet care information with little to no breed-specific information. There is supposedly a 'new' section in the back of the book called "living with a beagle" or something of that sort, which I turned to in the hopes it would flesh out more breed particularities. Ha! Not at all. Do yourself a favor and get something else- I was nicely surprised by the Dummies Guide to Beagles!
