We also teach our dogs to perform commands like getting a beverage from the refrigerator, turning light switches on and off, getting the newspaper, opening doors and gates on command, and the list goes on and on. But obedience still wouldn't be complete without the discipline, attention, control, dependability and communication we instill along with these commands.
