Awsome Brush November 25, 2008 K. Mataisz (Germany) I have a lab/beagle mix.. I've tried numerous brushes on her. This is the first that really works ... and works superbly well.
Thank goodness November 25, 2008 Vanessa (Phoenix, AZ) This thing works wonders on our black lab mix. So much dog hair is always floating around on my tile. This tool has definitely reduced the amount of hair on my floors. He sheds much less than before.
It works pretty well! November 24, 2008 K. Hubbard (Clarksville, TN) I bought this because I have five animals, two of whom shed quite a bit. Here's how it worked on each of them: Cat #1: She sheds a LOT. You can see the pictures of how much fur I got off of her in the image gallery. She enjoys being brushed in general, so she had no problems with being furminated. I did it twice, two days in a row to get the initial pile of fur, and then a third time a week later and got another small ball. She still drops a few hairs as is natural, but her shedding has dramatically decreased. I mainly got the tool for her. Cat #2: She sheds a medium amount, and doesn't like being brushed too much so I only got a few minutes with her before she ran off, but I got a small ball off fur off of her. Cat #3: My male cat is neurotic and overcleans himself, so I didn't think i'd get much off of him, but I still managed to get some fur off of him. Like I said, he's neurotic so I had to have someone else hold him while I tried to brush him, and even them he didn't tolerate it for long. Dog #1: My jack russell/beagle mix has short, coarse, thick hair. It doesn't look like he has a lot to shed, but he does so much. I tried to use it on him, but it kept getting caught on the coarse parts of his fur, pulling on them. He didn't like that, obviously. If I went very slowly there were no snags, but it wasn't getting much fur off of him so I gave up. If you have a dig with similar fur, you are better off sticking with a rubber brush. Dog #2: She's a long hair who we get groomed very short, so I didn't bother with her. Overall: Good if your cat has lots of hair/likes to be brushed, not really worth it if your dog has short, coarse fur.
The Furminator Works November 23, 2008 Laura Powell (Atlanta, Georgia) I saw this product on a video at the vets but was put off by the $60.00 price. I told my sister about it and she looked it up on Amazon, got it for about half the price the vet was asking and said it worked great on her 3 dogs. I bought it on Amazon and it is amazing at how much hair (undergrowth) it pulls out. Also tt is so easy to pull the hair that stays on the teeth of the Furminator. No more using a comb to go into the teeth of a brush and pull out hair. It pretty much keeps it in one area, not flying all over the place.
Works very well November 23, 2008 tree08 (Colorado) Wow! This really gets a lot of hair off my dogs.I would definitely recommend this to others with long hair dogs and my dogs love the attention they are getting from our grooming sessions. I would definitely recommend this to others.
