Great for long and short retrieves - just adjust the flight angle and the strength of the .22 caliber blank launching load (medium loads included). Not all launchers are created equal. Ours has patented dual firing ports for further launches, more stability, and virtually no kickback (others have a very harsh kickback) Ours has a patented blank ejection system (others require a tool to remove the spent blanks which often get stuck).
