Product Description This intelligent dog is naturally friendly and gentle. Though widely used as a sled dog in the far north, it also makes a wonderful household pet. Here's a wealth of advice on caring for a Siberian Husky. Books in the Complete Pet Owner's Manuals series present basic information about pets for new or soon-to-be owners. Advice and instruction covers feeding, housing, health care, training, grooming, protection against hazards, and much more. Texts emphasize pet care basics and are easy for all readers to understand, but most titles in this series also presents facts that even experienced pet owners and breeders will find new and useful. All books in this series are filled with high quality full-color photos and instructive line drawings. Length averages between 64 and 104 pages.

Good book, but very general training info... October 29, 2008 Cheryl2501 (Connecticut) I recently adopted a 2 1/2 yr old female sibe, she did not have any prior training, and/or manners. I purchased this book in hopes to get some tips on training her and found the book to be very "general" in the training section. I am aware as to how to teach a dog to sit, come, stay etc., as my other dog is trained already, I was looking for answers as to how to train the Husky imparticular, tips, motivators etc., and I did not find them here...Although very informative on the breed in general.

Siberian Huskies (Barron's A Complete Pet Owner's Manual) October 28, 2000 Adam Holbrook (Murfreesboro, Tennessee USA) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Although relatively small (75 pages), this paperback covers a little bit of everything pertaining to Sibes. From breed standards to training to breeding. For it's price it covers a lot of ground but might not go into the detail one might expect from a larger book. However, for it's size and price I feel it is an excellent book worthy of purchase for any owner of the Siberian Husky.
Siberian Huskies : Everything About Purchase, Care, Nutritio April 27, 2000 Chrissy Beckman (Delaware, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Exellent! Out of all the Siberian Husky books I have read, which is about 6, this one was the most helpful. I have a Husky of my own and if I could say something about this book is that it was so helpful! I recomend it for all want to be and all owners of Siberian Huskies!
A general guide to the Husky-a must for first time owners. December 17, 1998 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This small book could not have hoped to cover "Everything..." as it claims, but I have found it to be useful on many occasions. It provides a general guide to almost every conceivable situation and concern, providing the quality of advice a new owner needs. An owner of a new sibe puppy will want to supplement this book, so they should consult their breeder-use an established husky kennel, not a backyard breeder-other texts, and their vet. Other topics, like medical/health and diet, will likewise be covered in more detail in other places. Don't stop with this book but do get it if you are with sibe. And hang on to that leash!
